Kas Covid-19 sakarā gaidāms rudenī?
Rudenī Covid-19 saslimstības vilnis varētu būt mazāks nekā ziemā, aģentūrai LETA pauda Paula Stradiņa klīniskās universitātes slimnīcas infektologs Uga Dumpis.

Lai arī patlaban izskatās, ka augstākais Covid-19 saslimstības punkts ir sasniegts, taču nav skaidrs, ko gaidīt rudenī vai vasarā, jo nekādi jauni vīrusa paveidi vēl nav parādījušies. Viņaprāt, vīruss rudenī izplatīsies no jauna un būs nepieciešama balstvakcinācija vismaz riska grupām.
“Jāsaprot, ka gadījumā, ja rudenī nebūs ierobežojumu, būs pastiprināta arī gripas un respiratori sincitiālā vīrusa izplatība. Īpaši tāpēc, ka divus gadus cilvēki ar šiem vīrusiem ir slimojuši maz,” uzsvēra Dumpis.
Patlaban jau sākti pētījumi ar vakcīnām, kuras mērķētas gan uz Delta, gan uz Omikrona vīrusa variantiem, lai varētu uzlabot aizsardzību pret Covid-19.
